1. Non-exclusive licence
You grant tbsbookshop a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, market, and sell your book through our platform. You keep full copyright and may sell elsewhere.
2. Royalties — 85/15 split
You receive 85% of the listed price (net of refunds). tbsbookshop retains 15% to cover payment processing, hosting, support and platform development.
3. Payouts
- Payouts are sent biweekly via Paystack Transfer to your verified Nigerian bank account.
- Minimum payout threshold: ₦5,000.
- Refunds within the 7-day window reverse the corresponding credit.
4. KYC
You must provide your legal name, address, and government ID before publishing. We use this for fraud prevention and tax reporting.
5. Content standards
You must own or have permission to publish every word, image and asset in your book. Hate speech, defamation, illegal content, and material harmful to minors are prohibited.
6. Copyright — zero tolerance
If a copyright report against your book is verified: the book is removed, all revenue earned from that book is transferred to the rightful owner, and your account is terminated. See the Copyright Policy.
7. Termination
You can unpublish your books and close your account at any time. We can terminate your account for material breach of this agreement, with the consequences in section 6 applying where relevant.
8. Tax
You are responsible for declaring royalty income to the relevant tax authority. We provide a statement on request.
